MyWay Mobile Storage Donates Portable Storage Containers to Star-Spangled Sailabration in Baltimore

The Baltimore City Office of Promotions and Arts held the Star-Spangled Sailabration to commemorate the War of 1812’s bicentennial anniversary. The nearly weeklong event took place at various locations throughout Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. The festivities included tours of 40 tall ships from around the world, two air shows by the Navy’s famous Blue Angels and plenty of fun for visitors of all ages.

“The MyWay storage units worked out great for the Star-Spangled Sailabration,” said Jessica Campbell, Baltimore City’s Office of Promotions and Arts Events Coordinator. “It was so nice to be able to store extra supplies and equipment in a secure, accessible and aesthetically pleasing location. Since the event was so large, we requested multiple units for added convenience.”

This event attracted more than 500,000 visitors and it is estimated that the event generated more than $50 million in direct spending. Local businesses, restaurants and hotels reported record sales. Visitors to the event traveled not only by land but by boat as well to the Inner Harbor to take in all of the sights and sounds the Star-Spangled Sailabration had to offer.
