MyWay Mobile Storage Sponsors American Diabetes Association’s Maryland Tour de Cure
The American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure bike ride event took place on May 5, 2012 at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center. Bike riders from ages 13 and up participated as individuals or teams, at various distances, which included 10, 22, 32 and 63-mile courses. Each rider donated a minimum of $200, and the event raised over $318,000; falling just short of the $350,000 goal. MyWay Mobile Storage donated two portable storage units for the staffs’ use at the event.
“The Tour de Cure is a cycling event that requires the movement and storage of many large event items in order to have things run properly and smoothly. My Way Storage was the key to our transportation and storage success this year,” said Ali Tighe, American Diabetes Association Manager of Special Events and Fundraising. “They dropped off the units at our office, quickly picked them back up and dropped them at our race site for easy packing, unpacking and storage during the actual event.”
The Tour de Cure is a series of fundraising events held to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The cycling events take place nationwide and are designed for all experience levels; from occasional to experienced riders. MyWay Mobile Storage was proud to sponsor the Maryland Tour de Cure and help facilitate event coordination.
