Patrons did not have to fly all the way to Munich, Germany to enjoy the excitement of Oktoberfest this year. From September 26 – 28th many festival goers enjoyed the fun right at Frontier Park in Saint Charles, located beside the beautiful Missouri River. Saint Charles celebrated community and German heritage with this time-honored tradition that combines dynamic music and dance performances, for all ages, as well as, activities for beer lovers.

MyWay Mobile Storage was happy to donate four storage units, with free delivery and pick up for the event’s use at this year’s Oktoberfest, which is a free family-friendly festival. The event is filled with German attractions, including music, demonstrations and over 50 unique German-themed vendors offering a variety of gifts, art and crafts, décor and authentic cuisine. Other popular activities include a weiner dog race, brat eating contest, 5k and root beer fun run, a stein hoisting contest, and antique car show.

Now in its 28th year, the Saint Charles festival is based on the German Oktoberfest holiday, believed to have begun in 1810 as a wedding celebration for Prince Ludwig 1 and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. The event drew a crowd of well over 50,000 from across the state and beyond.

Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, MyWay Mobile Storage is the leading franchise for do-it-yourself moving and portable storage solutions with facilities in Colorado, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah.
