MyWay Mobile Storage Provides Portable Storage Units to Several Special Olympics of Maryland Fall Sports Competitions
Special Olympics Maryland held their 2013 Golf State Championships at Blue Mash Golf Club in Olney, MD and the Chesapeake Bay Golf Club in Rising Sun, MD on September 28-29th. Special Olympics Maryland athletes displayed their driving, chipping, and putting skills as they competed. The Level 1 Special Olympic Athletes competed in an Individual Skills Competition, which took place at the Blue Mash GC while 95 athletes took part in the Levels 2-5 Stroke Play at the Chesapeake Bay GC. MyWay Mobile Storage provided a portable storage unit to both venues which were loaded with all of the necessary equipment needed for the event, transported from their office in South Baltimore to the golf course events.
On Saturday, October 5th, SOMD held their 2013 Kayak Competition at Piney Run Park in Sykesville, MD in Carroll County. Over 90 athletes participated in the 100, 200 and 500 meter events. Maryland has the largest Special Olympics kayaking program in the country. More than 65 volunteers were on hand to help, including volunteers from regional kayaking clubs and divers from the Gamber Volunteer Fire Company to ensure the safety of the competitors. MyWay Mobile Storage donated two portable storage units for this event as well.
