Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival 2012

MyWay Mobile Storage Sponsors the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival 2012

The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival was held May 19-20, 2012 at the Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland. The two-day festival featured over 15 blues bands and offers world-class music, food, drink, free swimming at the sandy beach and the dramatic backdrop of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. All of the proceeds from the festival go to four local charities. This year the festival raised and donated over $52,500. The MyWay Mobile Storage of Baltimore donated two portable moving containers for the staff to use for storage at the event.

“Thank you for donating the mobile storage units to the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival. They were the perfect size for several applications at the festival,” said Don Hooker, President and CEO of Chesapeake Bay Events. “Thanks for your sense of community in helping us support four very worthwhile local charities: We Care, End Hunger Calvert, Camp Fantastic and Camp Face. We couldn’t do it without sponsors like you.”

The first festival was held in 1998 and since then has become one of the premier Blues festivals in the world. Every year, the Chesapeake Bay Event donates all of the new process of the festival to various charities. Since 1998, over $900,000 has been raised. This year’s recipients included End Hungry in Calvert County, We Care and Friends, The Johns Hopkins Cleft & Craniofacial Center and Special Love.
