MyWay Mobile Storage donates portable storage containers to 2017 Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival.
The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival was held Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21 at the Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland. The two-day festival headlined by The Mavericks and Jonny Lang, featured over 14 blues bands and offered world-class music, food, drink and free swimming at the Sandy Point State Park beach. All of the proceeds from the festival were donated to 2 local charities.
This year the festival saw about 6,000 attendees between the two-day event, with over 400 volunteers helping to organize the event. MyWay Mobile Storage of Baltimore donated two portable moving containers for the staff to use for storage at the event. This donation marks the 5th year MyWay Mobile Storage of Baltimore has donated its portable storage units to the Bay Blues Festival.

The first festival was held in 1998 and since then has become one of the premier Blues Festivals in the world. Every year, the Chesapeake Bay Event donates all of the new proceeds of the festival to various charities. Since 1998, over $1.5 million has been raised. This year the festival will benefit Special Love, a charity with the philosophy that “every kid has the right to be a kid – even kids with cancer.” It will also benefit We Care and Friends, which offers assistance to the homeless and those in need.
