  • I’m not moving – can I still use MyWay Mobile Storage?

    Absolutely. Our customers use MyWay Mobile Storage for more than just moving:

    1. Renovating: store the contents of any room and know that your belongings are safe during construction

  • How big is a portable storage container? How many will I need?

    MyWay Mobile Storage container dimensions are 8’ x 5’ x 7’. Each container has a weight limit of 2,500 pounds.

    Our containers can hold any standard household items, from king-size beds to refrigerators—anything just short of a baby grand piano. Our containers are sized to hold about one to one and a half rooms of furniture and boxes. If you have more rooms to pack, we can deliver as many containers as you need!   • What if I need to get something out of storage?

    If you call us in advance, we can schedule a redelivery of your storage container to your home. If it is on short notice, you can call (888) 33MYWAY (336-9929) and request access to your container at the security hub. With 24 hours notice, your container will be fully accessible to you at our storage facility.

  • How soon can I have a storage container delivered?

    We guarantee standard delivery within three to five days of your original order. In addition, we offer Next Day and 2nd Day service.

    Pickup requests are the same as delivery requests: we offer standard pickup within three to five days of your request. For your convenience, we do try to honor specific delivery and pickup dates.

  • How much time do I have to load my container?

    Typically our customers use about four days to load their belongings. We suggest allowing yourself seven days to load, but you can have as long as you need.

  • Do I need to be home when you drop off my storage container?

    No. We understand how life can get busy, so a customer service representative will ask you questions regarding where you would like your storage container placed, in case you are not present at the time of deliver.

  • Where will you put the container when you deliver it?

    We can put your portable storage container in your driveway, yard, parking spot, or anywhere else that is convenient for you. Some residential locations may only have room available in the street. If this is the case, please call your city or township and receive permission prior to delivery.

    With some steep driveways, we can still move our forklift around without problems. However, if your driveway is too steep, we will work with you to try to get your container delivered to an area that is more favorable.

  • How is MyWay Mobile Storage more convenient than a rental truck or moving service?

    Most do-it-yourself rental trucks are exceedingly expensive once you figure in the time needed to pack, drive to a new location (plus the cost of gas) and unpack. Plus, rental trucks add an additional burden of being so high off the ground—carrying furniture and boxes up and down a ramp all day can make for a very stressful and dangerous move.

    Moving services can make the physical moving easier, but usually at a much higher cost and with a less flexible schedule. There’s no need to have our containers ready for the next driver’s schedule. When you’re done packing, we’ll come to you and pick up your belongings.   • Can I use MyWay Mobile Storage to move?

Security

  • Do I need to use my own lock?

    Yes. We require locks on all storage containers. This provides a second level of protection while stored in our secure storage facility. In fact, using your own padlock ensures that you are the only person who can access your portable storage container.

  • How can I secure my items?

    We offer packing hints as part of our start-up packet to help minimize movement and maximize the safety of your belongings. We suggest loading heavy items on the bottom and lighter items on the top. Fragile items should be carefully wrapped, and blankets should be used around wood furniture.

    In addition, we offer hooks for tie-down straps for any large item that may be at risk of tipping or sliding.

  • Are your facilities climate controlled?

    Absolutely. This helps keep your personal items safe from possible damage caused by temperature changes, especially for items in extended storage.

  • If I need something out of storage, can I stop by to pick it up?

    If you call us in advance, we can schedule a redelivery of your storage container, right to your home. If it is on short notice, you can call the (888) 33MYWAY (336-9929) and request access at our storage facility. With a 24-hour notice, your storage container will be accessible at the storage facility, and you can stop by and pick up what you need.

  • Will my belongings shift at all when you move them?

    Our priority is the safety of your belongings. We use a forklift to pick up and move your storage containers around, which keeps your belongings level with the ground at all times. In addition, if you pack your container securely following our packing hints (provided with the start-up packet), your belongings will experience minimum or no movement.

  • How do I know my belongings will be safe?

    While the container is on your property, you should keep it locked in the same way you keep your doors and car locked. For extra security, we suggest scheduling delivery to our secure storage facilities as soon as your belongings are packed.

    When moving your container, we use a forklift that keeps your container level with the ground at all times. In addition, if you pack your storage container securely following our packing hints (provided with the start-up packet), your belongings will experience minimal or no movement.

    Our storage facilities are fully secured with perimeter surveillance plus fire protection and pest control. In addition, there is restricted access into our facilities: the only people allowed inside our facilities are MyWay Mobile Storage employees.

  • What is the minimum length of storage?

    We can customize a moving or storage package to your needs, and they can range as short as 1 month, or present you with maximum savings by getting into a long term storage package.

  • Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

    No. MyWay Mobile Storage does not require you to sign any long-term contracts.

  • How much does MyWay Mobile Storage cost?

    Our storage containers cost much less than a rental truck plus gas, or a moving service.

  • How much are the delivery fees?

    Our delivery fees are determined by ZIP code.

    We typically deliver and pickup within 3 to 5 business days, however next day service is available.

  • How does payment work?

    Your first bill will include the first month’s rental and any deliveries you schedule. We do require a valid credit card up front. This will be verified before the first delivery is made.

    We also accept credit and debit cards to automatically bill our customers on their anniversary date of each month. This eliminates the need for mailing in checks, down payments and late charges.

    We do NOT charge set up fees, registration fees or fuel surcharges.
